what is up guys and welcome back to another video first of all let me thank all of you new subscribers and my old subscribers thank you guys so much for that and let's keep it going guys on this video i am showing you how to remove the bumper the hood and lower grille along with the lower balance on the smart for two 2016 453 model okay without further ado let's get to it alright guys so first of all we are going to remove the hood so there's only four screws for the hood let's go ahead and remove that 10 millimeter socket last one make sure you hold your hood you don't want to cause any damages [Music] okay let's set this aside oh hold on don't forget about your water hose but this is the first time i'm ever going to remove them on this particular model so i i'm also learning how to do that at the same time as i'm recording the video for you guys what i will do on this case uh since it looks easier to remove it from right here then removing it from right here i'm just gonna you know what let me try this and see [Music] okay well it's a lot easier just to move it from here it's just one hose and you should be good to go okay so now i have to remove my bumper this is the old plastic tip now i am looking at this this these are uh rivets what i want to do i want to i'm pretty sure i can drill this out that's not a problem but i'm pretty sure all this whole assembly has to come out with the bumper assembly together that way you don't have to drill any of these rivets right here just in case you don't have a drill all right so let's get to it guys now these bolts they're all they're all the same so doesn't matter where you put them same height same length same heck everything [Music] [Music] okay so it's one two three and four okay now i'm going to disconnect all of this hoses all you got to do just open the clamp and then just pull out that's it make sure you don't break this all right let's just put it to the side and that should come up with the bumper if i'm not mistaken like i said first time doing it here guys so if i'm doing it wrong if you've done it before correct me on the comments i do not mind let's see what this is about let's see if we can check this out definitely [Music] okay now this one looks like it's gonna stay there so let's go ahead and leave it there same thing with the other side [Music] now this whole assembly oh i just dropped one so you see you gotta be careful when you pull it up okay now i gotta find it but that's no problem once i take everything out i should be able to find it and as you can see right here there's some clip nuts that hold that those bolts right there this one's right here okay now i know that's going to drop so i'm going to hold this one before it drops before i lose it all right so this is what's inside something over here just open the clamp and that's it now i do have to disconnect this one so what i'm going to do i'm going to pry this up and it should come out now for this one i do have a special tool for that but if you have a screwdriver go ahead and use the screwdriver okay just put it to the side now everything should be all disassembled now this is going to come with the bumper let's go ahead and uh go to the sides and it looks like we are going to have to remove 10 millimeter bolt right here if you guys can see it right there on both sides so let me go ahead and remove those and see what else is holding it okay so this ones are really easy to know where they go because those are the many those are going to be the dirty ones so here we go [Music] now this one is super tight so i have to use a bar

to break it loose [Music] okay so i'm going to leave that thread in there we're going to remove the hook and it should come right out [Music] now let's see what we need to do to remove this bumper from here so we can pry it up there you go okay so you basically you have to do just pull this out and it should come right out remember guys first time going there so i'm running outside but i'm doing the radio same thing over here just gonna pull okay now it looks like something's holding it on the bottom i'm gonna go through the bottom and remember we had to disconnect the lights and whatever it's on the bottom there should be some brackets on the bottom all right so at least we got this part disassembled and let's go to the bottom now all right guys so i'm at the bottom of the car right now it looks like i'm going to have to remove that bolt right there and there's a cop there's a couple boats that i have to remove hey dog say hello all right so let me go ahead and remove that and then once i disassemble it or once i bring it a little bit forward and give it some space uh so i can put my hands in there then i can remove the the lights [Music] okay i'm gonna go ahead and remove the whole thing which is all this because it looks like it's not gonna come out if i just remove this but i'm still gonna remove this bowl just in case they're holding something on the back it looks like they were holding a lot of a lot of dirt [Music] [Music] okay so the boat you have to remove one two three four and five bolts it looks like it's still holding still holding it right here it looks like yeah right here guys so there's five so basically all the ones you see at the bottom of the bumper okay so it is loose right now okay let's go to the other side [Music] okay so now the total count is seven remember three four five six seven so seven bolts on the bottom and let me show you guys how it looks and i'm not using a jack or i'm not doing it at the shop just because i want to show you guys that you could do it at your own house without a jack okay that's the only reason why i'm doing that guys now looks like we can separate the whole thing okay now let's go up again now let's try to open it so we can just disconnect these lights right here [Music] now that i have it open it looks like i'm gonna have to remove this part from this piece right here i'm gonna go ahead and disconnect the wires and it looks like it they're just on the other side looks like this wire runs all the way to the right side of the car gonna be a little hard and then just pull so just push on that and then just pull okay now we have to disconnect it all we got to do is disconnect this plastic right here from the bumper and it should come right out hey guys so it looks like it's going to have some some bolts right here some screws it's only going to be two i think and that will be off camera this car is assembled so fast man oh right here guys so i found it and it's gonna be uh it's gonna be like a torx and i'll show you the size right now let me go ahead and do that so first of all let's go ahead and try a t825h that's gonna be too big so you go to the t20h and that's gonna be it guys okay looks like those are gonna be it guys okay now that's disconnected [Music] i should be another one on the other side yep right here found it all right so the other one that's going to be one right there right in the corner and the other one is going to be right

there alright so those two are the ones you need to remove to disassemble this plastic right here for the wheels from the bumper and it should come right out that's going to be a different size so i think it's going to be the 25 a little bigger [Music] little bigger than that so if you don't have these tools you can also use a screwdriver that fits in okay remember this is plastic and also the inserts are plastic so they shouldn't be too tight to remove i'm just showing you the right tools to remove it but if it was if that was me if i wouldn't have those tools i would have used a screwdriver a flat one you know as long as it fits in there we're good i can remove it so there you go guys okay guys so there's one right there and one right here they're exactly in the same position exactly like the other side [Music] [Music] okay and it's already all disconnected this is somewhere ready to go all right let's see if it's true or not first time first time removing a bumper from a smart car it should come right out guys that's it there it is right there the whole assembly not that way you get access to your radiator maybe or i don't know something else probably the lights um anything that you want to remove that it's only this area for example the horn the horn is right there or this one here is also another horn i believe that's for the alarm and this is for uh you know when you're in the streets so that is how you get access to those two items all right let me show you guys the whole assembly [Music] all right so that is how you remove the bumper and the lower balance or if you want to separate it that's up to you to do it outside and this is how it's going to look after everything is removed 20 minutes to remove the bumper front bumper on a smart car 2016. okay now you can see what's behind it because you want to get access and you don't know where your items are at there's a couple items that you can see once you remove the bumper assembly [Music] [Music] all right youtubers so that is all for this video and i hope it's helpful for you because you want to remove your front bumper but now you know how now guys on the next video i am showing you the reason why i decided to remove the front bumper on this car the idea is kind of crazy but i hope i don't get in trouble with the law or anything like that but keep you guys posted and i'll see you on the next one all right haters
