Or – what I do is I take the second car key and leave it in the ignition in the off position. I put a facemask over it so no one can see it lol. The interesting thing is once the car is started – the lock and unlock buttons on the FOB do not work. You will need to use the actual key blade to unlock the car. Which is pretty neat – its sort of an extra security feature that is built in.
The way I do it is – I turn relay 1 on first then – turn relay 2 on – and then after 3 or so secs turn off relay 2 and that keeps the car running. I tested with keeping the 2nd relay on as well and it doesn’t seem to disturb anything so technically you can use a single relay module for this whole install instead. Would need to splice wire 8/38 and 3/2 together.
