However, since there are voltage spike issues affecting the speedo on the ageing Roadster now, perhaps consider making damn sure you don’t turn the ignition on until everything is definitely reconnected. Removal Grab a Torx20 screw driver, open the boot and remove the screw shown below. Go to the cabin and lever out this clip. Look behind the reverse curve rail for this clip. lever it out also. Find your 17mm ratchet and remove the seat belt guide bolt. You can now pull the trim panel towards the front of the car and feed the seat belt webbing out of the trim’s slot. Go down to the outside edge of the seat and use your 17mm ratchet on this bolt. Look back into the boot to see the now revealed seat belt reel. Using the 17mm ratchet once again, remove the bolt hidden under the back of the reel. Slide the seat belt reel diagonally forward and upwards to lift it off the tabs. You can now pull the seat belt reel towards the middle of the car to unclip it. Finally you’ll need to disconnect the SRS connection. There’s a tab on each side that needs to be pushed in. They can be tough to press. I usually use a Torx screwdriver to push them in to save my poor little fingies. You don’t usually need to pull the black plug. I found that it pops out when you press both of the tabs. This is because there’s a sprung safety mechanism inside the connector. Click if info helped 3 likes 8499 views Print
