parts must be installed and the vehicle completed and in a ready to drive condition. Installation:
Ensure that the front wheels are in the straightahead position before installing the steering wheel (1). The three guide lugs of the inner vinyl ring of the steering column switch must align accurately with the three notches in the steering wheel (1). When installed only rotate the steering wheel (1) when the tightened fastening nut is tightened in order not to damage the clock spring contact and toothing. 8 Install in the reverse order 9.1 Carry out function check of multifunction Only on vehicles with code (I49) multifunction steering wheel steering wheel (FFO). 10 Conduct a road test Tests during the road test: Turn signal canceling: If the three guide lugs of the steering column switch do not accurately align with the three notches in the steering wheel (1) faultless turn signal indicator reset is no longer guaranteed. Electronic Stability Program (Electronic Stability Program) (ESP): If the three lugs of the steering column switch do not accurately align with the three notches in the steering wheel (1), the faultless function of the ESP is no longer guaranteed. Raise vehicle with vehicle lift

Counterhold tie rod (2) and release jam nut
(3) The tie rod (2) must be counterheld here. Otherwise the tie rod (2) may be damaged. Once released, do not turn jam nut (3) any
more on the tie rod (2). *BA46.40-P-1002-01F Jam nut at tie rod 3 Unscrew nut (4), pry off tie rod end (1) using
puller from steering knuckle (5) and unhook
Carefully pry off tie rod end (1).
Otherwise the boot may be damaged.
Installation: Check boot, if necessary
replace tie rod end (1). BA46.40-P-1001-01F Self-locking nut, tie rod to steering knuckle 450589013300 Puller 4 Counterhold tie rod (2) and unscrew tie rod Installation:
