[Music] okay guys so after replacing the drve BT on the Smart car in the previous video I was like I thought it was super late but no it's like 6:30 7:00 p.m. so AO part is still open I was like yeah I'm just going to replace and just make another video but not in the same one uh so I'm going to change the S Club uh right now so the tools that you going to need long extension actually this is not this is what we're going to need so long extension 38s and then um you're going to need a 8 mm socket and for the spark plug we're going to use a 14 mm socket or 916 first of all remove the plug so all you're going to do is just pull on this and pull back they're a little bit hard but it'll it'll come out so if you have one of these hooks it's handy there you go just like so okay you can do it before removing the coil or you can you can do it after so grab your 8 mm socket okay take this off I'm going to push on this down and then use one of those hooks or small screwdriver anything that fits in there like so the way so this is just you know just pull them up like that and just what I like to do I like to inspect this make sure there's no cracks or anything no this car has no Mis fire coats so I'm not going to worry about it too much but I like to check it just to make sure we don't have to replace the boot or the coil so if it's going to hard sometimes you can use the hook again and then just you know just work your way up pull on either side and it'll come up again just push on it till you hear the click and then just push back there you go just like so this one they're also uh not interchangeable but this one will not reach this one and this one will not reach this one so you can disconnect them and don't worry about them there you go it's like so now you do have to worry if you see oil in between this boot right here that means as you bath cover it's leaking Okay so so if you have oil on this section right here anywhere you need to replace your vve cover and then also inspect it for cracks on at the tip of the boot and if they're good they're good to go now we got to remove the SAR box so you want to break the torque and then [Music] go [Music] for this since this is a 916s they're not for Spar plugs they don't have the little rubber you can either use the magnet the magnet right here this one's a little bit big so uh it barely fits in there but it gets it these SP PLS are in really bad shape you don't want to see that on a spark plug okay diamonds already burned out and then also the tip is it's uh it's missing some of it and then the inside where the elector is it's also uh where out I know I don't know if you can see it but this is uh what you don't want to see in the SP plug so this is the part number that I I'll be trying to get I also want to go with NGK do not go with any other brand in my opinion especially for German cars so uh when I go to the other parts I'm going to go down to AutoZone or rallies and see if they have the exact same match or anything that crosses over uh on NGK or another good brand so let me uh take the rest out okay so like I said before you have if you don't have access to a magnet you can also use the the coil boook to get it out just like so same thing this one's in bad shape okay so it's a good time to replace this this one only has 40,000

miles and it's a 2016 but the the plugs they're gone you can see on the on the video guys I don't think this guy use ni on this plugs that's why they're hard this one is also in b tape you can see right here yeah and you also want to check for um onus Spar plugs for oil water anything that doesn't belong in a spark flow you want to check that cuz if you do then you have engine problems or something going on in there so you want to take care of little smarty car cuz remember they're not making more or they're not bringing them to us actually they're making more just we have access to those no more fortunately so let's go ahead and go buy the plug okay guys so so now that we found this the sple that's the part number that I got this is the exact same part number as the one that came out of that car so you can see same exact part number okay and uh I already applied some nic's and some uh greas over here for the for the tip of the spot plug so let's go ahead and install them and we're going to torque them too uh this an njk page so it says flat seat type with gasket so we have a flat seat with gasket it says to torum this is a 10 mm thread uh foot PBS will be 7.2 all the way to 8.7 uh so anywhere in between it's good and just to verify and show you guys this a a millimeter uh scale so there it is 10 mm thread so that's what we're using we're using the torque that's right here so with that being said let's go ahead and install them uh make sure you don't drop them and you don't have to Gap them either cuz uh this is the one with the fine tip so it says not to uh Gap the plugs so just be careful you know drive them down with the finger just like so and what I did I applied it on all the thread just to be safe you know okay I'm going to drive them in by hand and then we're going to torque them okay this one is also uh an aluminum head so it tells you on the manual at NGK that uh if you have a steel head is different and if you have aluminum head is it's different so in this case uh aluminum head it's it's different it's less torque so once you have them all the way in I have my torque set up to 8 foot PBS if you can see right here don't get confused this is foot pounds okay guys I'm going lock it down and start uh giving the start talking their s plugs there's a doesn't matter how long this is it's the same torque it's not going to change unless you use a cross fot or an extension going this way uh on the head of the bolt then that will change but the longer I we could be 2 feet up here it's not going to change okay 8 foot PBS okay guys yeah whenever you torqueing a spark plug and and especially an aluminum head it feels like it's going to break but it won't break I promise there you go so 8 fo lbs and we're done with the spr books all I have to do I already have the lubricant the little grease for the for the electrical so all I have to do remember this are interchangeable so you can put them on either one doesn't really matter now remember guys on my last video I said that I don't want to get too technical with bolts um for example with this bolts you know I'm not going to torque this to 86 foot 86 inbs but I was just toring behind you know by f

all right just double check it make sure they're not loose now we can connect it and that's it when you connect this make sure there's a click sound just like so look check it out there you go you want to hear that sound cuz if that it's going to start misfiring cuz remember the engine shakes so probably going to come off if you don't do that all right let's go ahead and start the vehicle see if everything looks good this should run a lot better man check out these spout PLS they were shot man they were completely gone since 2016 wow there you go we should we shouldn't have any coats cuz they didn't have any Coates on the past but uh you know you never know so that is how you change the sparkle guys and pretty simple install minimum tools required you know where to get the parts you turn it off uh all R AO parts so um that's it guys thank you guys for watching and uh if you like the video or somebody wants to do this and you know now you don't have to request it I did it on my own so usually I do videos for this car um as they as they request them but on this one I just decided to do it because it was time and I really wanted to change propups now you guys saw how bad they were so uh if you like the video share it you know with somebody that knows uh or that have one of these cars and wants to do it and they don't know how well there it is super simple and you don't have to go pay somebody to change the SP PL uh 100 150 bucks I don't know it depends where you're at right but um when you can do it yourself and uh just follow directions minimum tools required like I said you're good to go man all right see you guys in the next one
