Hello viewers and welcome in new video. In my first repair attempt, I found a broken window lifter. I decide to glue it but that wasn't strong enough to last. After just few days, I couldn't lower or lift the window anymore. So today I'm taking a look again and this time I will show you how to fix it properly so it holds up in the long run. The first step is removing the outer door panel. I have already made a full video on my channel that explained the process step by step, but here is a quick time lapse so you can see how it works. Okay guys, here is an update for the window regulator. The upper part for the right side just cracked completely. This is original plastic and this is new 3D printed part as you can see from here. It was painful to install. You can drill complete regulator out but I decide to make hole and pass through the pin which looks like this and it holds this wheel. Other than that to install back whole system as I believe it was not tensioned enough because you can see what mess happened on the wheel. This is the old wheel and this is on another side. So, one is for the rear and one for the forward lifter. And this central one is a tensioner. So now what I'm doing, I'm putting a zip ties over. Then we will pull the cables, put them on new wheel, and put back on the motor. And we will then put the cover back. And that should be it. So what we going to do first? We will put the zip tie over the top. Just a little bit. Keep it slack. So we can pass through another one. Here I used three of them from outer side. And then I will continue to add zip ties just like this. Okay. And I will add one more. Now what I will do? I will pass through this one. Okay. Okay. So, plastic to go inside. And now let's pull the zip ties until we have completely tensioned spring. You can just push a little bit to get extra space for the zip tie. Okay. And they are more or less equal. And we have now full length of this of the wires. upper one and the lower one and this should be fully tensioned system for the moment. Now we will put both of them on the wheel. Wheel can go only one way. As you can see, it's going on the motor

like that. So, we need to place it like this inside this housing. And over here you have this uh place for the wire. should go like this. And for another we have like this. So just pass through and make few turns. Make sure you follow this alignment. I don't know how much you can see. Yeah, now it's in place. This is the trickiest job for sure on this on the roster. And as you can see, we have still plenty wire, which means that we need to make few more turns over until the the wheel is inside. The lower one is shorter. So put that one like this and one which is longer. Just make few turns and then put it in the housing. So as you can see this is how motor works. one one line is getting slack another is getting full uh tension. Okay. Now uh now we have fully tension wire on the wheel. We can cut both sides as well is inside. Okay, guys. So, we put the cables and the wheel back on the motor. We put the screws. Now, as you can see, the rear and the front, they are not equal. What this cable is doing, it's equalizing both sides because this is a holder for the window. Now, as you can see, this is quite tensioned. If I pull down, I'm getting some space. And you can see how this spring is getting tension. So what I have to do I have to put the wire inside this gap turn or screwdriver until it's fully inside. Then the system is completely tension. So what you need to do you need to help a little bit by pulling one side up. So this side and this down. And as you can see now, the wire is almost in place. What we going to do now is push with the screwdriver to just go inside. So it's finally inside and this should be fully tension system. As you can see the springs are also tension. Now, let's hope everything is okay on the wheel side and let's test it. Let's now put the window. We are placing window. Just make sure that is going inside the seal. We have here one. And here is another. And just lower it down. Then we can secure it just a little bit. This is adjuster for the height.

Just make it like this. And now let's test. You can see once we close close the doors here we have huge gap and over here it's a little bit too much. So, what I'm going to do, I will just unscrew over here and I will push by hands window until it's all the way up. Over here you can see adjuster for the forward. So, you can just lower little bit and then use this screw just to push the window little bit down. I will now put like this. So we have good gap at the forward seems fine. This is quite crucial to avoid any leaks inside the cabin. Thanks for watching. All the parts I use in this video can be found through the links down in description.
