Well, welcome back to another Dino Days video. Here we have a Smart 44 Brabus. Now, this has got the same running gear as a Mitsubishi Colt CZT that we all know and love and the Rally. It's a 4G15 turbo petrol engine with a 5-speed get track gearbox. Um, for the purposes of this video, we're going to be modifying it and getting as much power out of it as possible. So, there's a few things going on this one, including hybrid turbos and injectors and things, but it's a lot of work, so we better get started. [Music] [Applause] Heat up here. [Music] [Applause] And thankfully Don Days have picked up an awesome sponsor. Our first sponsor. Our first sponsor that's relevant. People have been trying to sponsor us milkshakes and readymade meals and all sorts of nonsense that we're not interested in, but you guys are going to be interested in oil. So, world oflubricant.co.uk have sponsored us and these videos and they've got a great deal for you guys on their website. You drop in the code dyno. I'll put a links below and stuff, but you drop the code in dyno, you get a load of money off. You can spend more money on additives or top-up boils, or you can just save yourself a packet and keep servicing your Hondas, which is what it's all about, ain't it? Totally. [Applause] Heat up [Music] [Applause] Heat up [Music] [Applause] [Applause] Well, Smart 44 Brabus all the way from Belgium. And he bought beer and cheese. So, that's always a good start, isn't it? It is. It is indeed. beer and cheese. Even Milo had a little bit of cheese. Had a long drive, didn't he? For sure. I would imagine it was a long drive. It will certainly be uh a shorter a shorter drive on the way home. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, uh brought it to us. It was a weird situation really because obviously we got him booked in for say the Tuesday and the Wednesday. He was obviously traveling so we couldn't get hold of him, couldn't communicate with him. Obviously, there's always a language barrier when you're doing these things as well. Little bit. So the car turned up but it turned up late on the first day like in the afternoon and I said oh I've been traveling since whatever time and obviously I've just got here. So we sort of lost the first day on it obviously again as we've talked about before with losing Jensen that uh there was no how could I put it there's no spare time if you understand what I mean. So what's sort of happened with this car is it's sort of been put on the long stay ram and I've been working on it when I can at the end of each day. So be an hour or two hours or whatever it is uh stopping late trying to catch up on it and things like Now, the customer had already bought um a load of parts in advance. He knew what he wanted. He wanted the hybrid turbo and some other things. But as we moved forward in that build, we realized obviously Yeah. Okay. What we going to do about the exhaust system? Yeah. Obviously, he wanted front mount, but we can't do a front mount on a Brabus because the way the bumper's designed doesn't want it sticking out obviously because in this country it's got to get through their you know, through their MOT and obviously if things are sticking out or and or if it looks like it's modified, they won't accept it, you know, blah blah blah. So, it was we it obviously got quite complicated. Well, not quite complicated, but it got more complicated than it was originally alleged to

believe. So, uh this car has had uh it's had a speed manifold ported. We've used a stock turbo housing on the ex on the hot side and ported that to match. Uh it's had Nashi hybrid turbo. It's had a 2 and 1/2 in downpipe from Greece. I believe that came from quality tuning. Um up to the where the uh first uh the second is it grease or is it Cyprus? I don't know whichever one of them. But that pipe goes up to where the second cat would uh sort of start basically or where the exhaust system would start just after the subframe. That grease there. We've done a custom 2 and 12 in exhaust on it. Uh he wanted to keep the sort of double tip on the end to look like the original exhaust. Um didn't want it obviously loud. We put a big center box in there. to be honest. If anything, I thought it was a bit on the quiet side, but yeah, I think it might be a little bit quiet, but that's good. That's good for what we were asked to do. Um, we have used CZT charge pipe down the side of the engine because the Bravis doesn't have a dump valve. He wanted a dump valve. So, we've used that. We've done dump valve. We had to bit bit of custom pipe um going down by the side of the battery. We had to put a smaller battery in cuz the Bravis has a bigger battery. We've done three port boost solenoid. Uh 550 cc injector, 550 cc injector, fuel pump. Um, we did a custom side mount. So, obviously an Ali side mount. So, uprated that. Dyn silicon hoses. D silicon hoses on the cooler and on the intercooler. We decided that it was to do the intercooler that way was the best way of doing it because it will still fit behind the bumper. Yeah. Um, and won't won't look basically doesn't look modified. Although obviously is modified part doesn't look modified. It's had the group M induction kit. Yeah. So, the group M induction kit. Um, first time I've actually fitted one. That was actually quite nice to be fair. Nice. Um, that's a review right there. We got the Forge RS dump valve in there. Black. Always nice. Always nice. I think that's about it. Oh, we didn't know. We're not missing it off. Extreme stage two clutch, flywheel, and diff and LSD with bearings that he want to fit in. So, and under seal. There you go. Really tidied up. It's off to the Nurburgg ring. Yeah. Which I'm sure he's going to have plenty of fun. Oh, I'm sure he will without question. But yeah, had a massive amount of work. I mean, like you say, one thing led to another. It was originally just a hybrid and then obviously we realized what a car hadn't got on it when the car got here. Plus, like you say, there was discussion about front mounts, side mounts, and it just Yeah, one thing sort of rolled into another and it became a project. So, we have had the car for I think we had it four weeks. Three. I think we've had it three weeks. We've had it three weeks, have we? So, I don't think we've done too badly really to be fair, saying we're doing this or we're catching up with this on the side basically to what we were doing in the day. And it mapped up lovely. The graph looks amazing. Yeah, I'm really happy with that to be fair. It sort of maps up really nice. It's made 225 wheel horsepower, 250 brake horsepower, and 230 footpound of torque, which is in that safe zone. Yeah, I think it it'd be really happy with that cuz it's a stock engine. Yeah, I could have pushed more, I feel, in the mid-range and uh got that torque up a little bit, but I think to make that making that 250, I'm happy with that. So, I didn't really push hard in the mid-range, which is generally where these will fail. Yeah, obviously the uh the rods don't like it. So, well, it sounds nice. It's lighter than the traditional CZT. Um, so I think it's going to go really really well. Yeah. Well, we'll have a ride of it at some point. We have a drive around it. See? A nice little road test. Road test to see what it's like. Good stuff. Right. Should we have a look at that graph? Let's look at the graph. Okay, sports fans, here is the graph, and it's looking pretty smooth and lovely as we expect. Um, obviously we're used to tuning the uh the 4G5 turbo engine in the Mitsubishi Colt CZTS and Rally Arts, but this is a Brabus and we have finished on 250 brake horsepower, 230 torque, wheel horsepower, 225. So, thanks for sticking around to the end of the video, guys. Like and subscribe and all that jazz. And if you have got yourself a Smart 44 Brabus and you would like something similar doing, please do get in touch. or if you've got any questions cult related, rally art, CZT, let us know. We still got all the parts and uh we service and maintain them and we tune them. So, uh yeah, we'll see you on the next video. Thanks, guys. said it before and I'll say it again. Life moves pretty fast.
