[Applause] [Music] [Applause] what is going on everyone my name is paul i go by the smart man and in today's video i'm going to be telling you guys why you should never buy a smart car and take it from a smart car owner like myself these are the top reasons why you should not buy a smart car now the first reason you shouldn't buy a smart car is because these things are slow as all get up the 0 to 60 is eventually and uh there's not too many aftermarket mods you can do yeah you can throw a turbo on it but that's the whole value of the car right there is just that turbo alone so it's not worth it um you don't get these cars for uh really speed so the smart car does not go fast and neither does it go fast in reverse here we go oh it only oh it maxes out at 11 miles an hour oh come on oh oh i got the 15 keep going nope it won't let me it is so slow i don't even have to look at the road right now this car just goes slow barely at 50 miles an hour right now and i've been on it for about five or ten seconds if you look at this car you only notice there's uh two seats so let's say i have my friends karen and kyle well they both cannot sit in here karen's gonna throw a big old fit because i'm gonna have kyle in here because who wants to hang out with the karen for 2008 this car's features were pretty good i would say it had like uh cruise control and some models automatic windshield wipers heated seats like leather interior all for under 20 grand um you can get these things fully loaded now by today's standards like 13 years later uh this car is bare-bones there's nothing going for this car you know what's funny is i really don't care about any of that stuff because this car is unique and i think that's what it has going for is it so unique that i don't care what features it has i don't care how hard this car is to drive this car is a pain to drive it jerks everywhere the transmission is garbage but the fun thing about it is especially mine with the upgraded exhaust and wrap and wheels it's unique people are just tossing them away they're only they're worth garbage like you can get one of these for like two or three thousand dollars but i will tell you one thing that these cars do have going for them and that is their handling and their fun factor uh the cars handle amazing i've taken this car on numerous horror rallies i've taken on some really crazy twisty back roads and this thing is so much fun if you turn off that traction control it actually handles very well [Music] i cannot persuade [Music] don't tell anybody uh that might have been me in a smart car 50. see i told you 0 to 60 eventually we're still not a 60. there we go there's 60. see this car is so slow but it's so much fun like you have to make a fool of yourself when you drive these cars if you take yourself way too seriously with this car you're going to be disappointed because this is not that car on paper these cars make absolutely zero sense and uh in real life they still absolutely make zero sense but at the same time like once you drive one if you own one you know what i'm talking about it's like they're so unique they're so different they're so fun that you just love this car like you either love it or hate it like that's how i feel about this car that never gets old so i just made an entire video on the reasons why you shouldn't buy a smart car and i ended up telling you guys why you basically should buy a smart car let's go ahead and hop in the abarth because this is the fun car uh the smart car yes it's fun but the abarth is turbocharged it pops it's loud it's manual it's great so let's go ahead and hop in the fiat now i know a lot of you guys watched my channel originally because of the smart car and you know that i bought myself a 2012
