Also known as almond lights. These are lens optics which means the light is distributed by the lens. Peanut Mk1 to Mk7 Cabrio and Mk6 to Mk7 non Cabrio headlights. Also known as Peanut lights. These are reflector optics, the light is distributed by the reflector. Cashew 2nd Generation headlights. I call them Cashew lights (to keep with the nut theme). These are projector (polyellipsoidal) optics, the light is distributed by the reflector but upside down. This is passed through the projector lens to right the light image. Fortwo Tail Lights Right hand drive lights have the reverse light on the left of the car and the fog light on the right. Left hand drive lights have the reverse light on the right of the car and the fog light on the left. Pure Mk1 to Mk5 coupe These are the original design with the more rounded lenses. The Pure lights can be identified by the orange indicator lenses. Pure Mk6 to Mk7 Coupe These were the updated version with smaller lenses with an oval shape. The Pure lights can be identified by the orange indicator lenses. Pulse Mk1 to Mk5 Coupe These are the original design with the more rounded lenses. The Pulse lights can be identified by the tinted indicator lenses. Passion Mk6 to Mk7 Again, the new shape with the lens that extends down the side of the car. Passion rear lights can be identified by the clear indicator lenses. Cabrio Mk1 to Mk7 The cabriolet lights haven’t changed throughout the smart’s lifetime. The large single lens is unlike any of the other smart rear lights. General Info Pure had orange rear indicator lenses. Pulse had tinted rear indicator lenses.
