The end of the lighting stalk rotates to one of four positions. Position 1: all the lights are off. Position 2: side lights are illuminated. Position 3: low beam lights are illuminated. Position 4: rear fog lamp and low beam lights are illuminated. If the car is turned off with the stalk not in position 0 (some of the lights illuminated), a beeper will sound when the driver door is opened. It’s just a reminder. High Or Full Beam Lights The full beam lights can be illuminated in one of two ways depending on the length of time you intend to use them. The lever moves forward and backward to activate the full beam lights. Pushing the stalk away from the steering wheel will turn the lights on permanently until you pull the stalk back to cancel it. This way will only work if the stalk rotating switch is at position 3 or 4. Pulling the stalk towards the steering wheel momentarily turns the full beams on and turns off when you release the stalk. The stalk is spring loaded back to the centre. This is handy for when you want to flash other drivers. Headlight Adjustment Just below the light stalk there is a rotary controller which adjusts the level of the headlights. This is essential if you have things in the boot. The weight in the boot lowers the back so the headlights aim a little higher. To save blinding oncoming traffic, the lights should be adjusted down using the rotary switch. Position 1: Boot empty. Position 2: Driver and passenger seat occupied with 50kg in the boot. Position 3: Driver seat occupied with 50kg in the boot. Click if info helped 143 likes 42483 views Print
